Jack Nicklaus to Design Second Golf Course in Quivira, Los Cabos
Jack Nicklaus will return to Mexico to build his second course at Quivira, Los Cabos, where he designed the Quivira Golf Club, which opened in 2014.
The design for the new Jack Nicklaus Signature course, which has not yet been named, is currently underway, and ground-breaking is expected by the end of 2022. It will be built in the northwest of the 1,850-hectare development across undulating desert hills and valleys interlaced with streams, with the southern part of the course offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
In a press release announcing the news, Nicklaus said, “The first golf course at Quivira is a spectacular design.” He also commented, “Now, I am excited that the design of the second course at Quivira is underway, which should be stunning and equally spectacular. I hope that golfers who play the second course enjoy the views, the quality of the golf, and the challenge.”
The original course, Quivira Golf Club, is ranked 25th among Golfweek’s best courses in Mexico, the Caribbean, the Atlantic Islands, and Central America.
