Every second week of April, we are amazed by the perfection of Augusta National Golf Club on television. But TV does not do it justice—being there is an unmatched experience.
The course features dramatic elevation changes, incredibly fast greens, and immaculate conditions unlike anywhere else in the world.
Is Augusta National really that difficult?
At first glance, it seems friendly: wide fairways, little rough, and perfect lies everywhere. But the greens are the real challenge—extreme slopes and incredible speed make even great players struggle.
Stats from the 2015 Masters show how decisive putting is: players hitting more greens still missed the cut due to poor performance on the greens.
Why attend practice rounds?
