Trump International Scotland

Golf Resort

The Trump Organization acquired the land in 2006 with a project to build two 18-hole courses, a 5-star hotel, golf villas, a golf academy, and vacation homes. However, there was strong resistance and litigation from many local people and local organizations. Only in 2012 were they able to inaugurate the golf course (they finally made an 18-hole course) designed by Martin Hawtree. The Resort is located on the outskirts of Aberdeen, North East Scotland.

Other things to do

One of the typical country activities in Scotland is hunting birds or animals. The vast majority are pests or predators, so it is a legal activity.

Fishing is an excellent activity to do post-round. In addition to being a very picturesque area, you can fish for trout salmon, among others.

Just 15 minutes from Trump International Scotland is Aberdeen, Scotland's third largest city. With a charming old town, visits to museums and whiskey distilleries are two of the activities that can be done here.

The best months to travel are from May to early October, in line with the local Championship calendar. Outside those dates, the weather is very wet and not enjoyable for golfing.
