Description
Created by developer Carl Fisher in 1923 -originally as the Bayshore golf course- during World War II it was leased by the United States Army for military practice. It was later acquired by a group of investors, and redesigned by Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest almost entirely, arriving to its current layout and name. Located in South Beach, with view of the buildings around, and its typical palm trees, the course is one of the most prestigious in the area.
Signature Hole
While the final three holes make for a great finish, the 16th hole stands out for its reward/punishment oriented design. A 335-yard par 4 with water on the right side of the fairway, you´ll have to opt between a more conservative shot or take more risk in search of an eagle.
Wegolf Insider Tip
Arrive early and warm up at the practice area, as the par 5 hole 1 is as long as it is demanding.
