Description
Surrounded by mangrove forests and tropical foliage of the island of Key Biscayne, Crandon Golf is a public course that is as fair as it is challenging. Designed in 1972 by Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, it was later reformed by the former. Even though it's just minutes away from downtown Miami, the course seems like an oasis. With distinctive flora and fauna from the area, it has many interesting holes, and has been host of Champions tour tournaments for several years.
Signature Hole
The 7th hole is a 445-yard par 4 with a straight tee shot with lush vegetation on the right bank. The fairway turns 75 degrees to the right, having to carry over a lake to reach the green defended by two large bunkers.
Wegolf Insider Tip
After hitting your tee shot on the 18th hole, approach to your right and take a photo of the seaport and Miami skyline.
