Golf was born in Scotland. The headquarters of the R&A (Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, the governing body of worldwide golf) are in Scotland. Here is where the traditions that we respect today were born, and where the best players and many of the best golf course designers of the beginning of the 20th century (such as Donald Ross or Alister Mackenzie) were forged and consecrated.

Trump International Golf Links Aberdeen

• The Trump International Golf Course in the northeast of Scotland was designed by Dr. Martin Hawtree, a renowned master of golf course architecture. In the great tradition of Scottish links golf, the par 72 course has a total length of over 7,400 yards, with a classic nine-hole two-loop pattern. The 18 world-class holes wind their way through dunes and valleys, offering a sequence of panoramic views rich in vegetation and wildlife.

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club

• It is the sixth oldest club in the world and its golf course is a masterpiece from start to finish. The front 9 are distinguished as one of the best 9 holes links in the world, especially holes 3, 4, 7 and 9, are probably the most difficult par 4 in Scotland.
• The Club House tenders a lot of tradition and history, including a replica of the US Amateur trophy won by Scottish Richie Ramsay in 2006. In 2011, the Walker Cup obtained by GB&I was hosted here.

Cruden Bay Golf Club

• Locals claim golf was played at Cruden Bay way back in the 18^th century, but the Golf Club was not formed until 1899 when the famous Old Tom Morris and Archie Simpson designed the course.
• It offers an internationally renowned golf experience, with a classic links style and it is considered one of the best courses in Scotland.
