Description

Greg Norman’s design course is host of PGA Tour’s Mexico Open since 2022. Its layout borders the Ameca River and offers spectacular views of the Sierra Madre mountains. Large areas of waste bunkers, water hazards, native vegetation, and undulating greens expose the recognizable work of the architect; which can be as benevolent as it is challenging, depending on the chosen tee box, and the level of risk one decides to take.

Signature Hole

Hole 7 is a very interesting driveable par 4. Its 297yds allow to reach for the green in just one shot, although risk/reward must be considered, as water on the left side and sand traps on its right demand precision.

The good, The Bad

Such as any other PGA Tour course, its maintanance level is usually superlative.
The distance between the golf course and its club house/pro-shop might not be the most convenient.
