Description
With two public courses of 18, Torrey Pines is one of the best places to play golf in the United States. Both this south and north courses are owned and maintained by the City of San Diego. Located on the cliffs and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the two 18-hole courses were designed by William F. Bell and opened for play in 1957. In recent decades they have been redesigned and extended to almost 7,800 yards, making it an extremely long course for any average golfer. The course hosted 2 US Opens (2008 and 2021) and hosts the Farmers Insurance Open, a PGA Tour tournament, every year.
Signature Hole
3th Hole | Par 3 | 200 Yards. It is the most characteristic hole of the place, downhill and with views of the Pacific. The choice of club is essential, since with wind it can play very differently depending on which side it is blowing.
Wegolf Insider Tip
Go prepared and get ready to play a very long course, with narrow fairways and a rough that, if it is long, is almost unplayable
