Description

Designed by Willie Park Jr and usually ranked in the Top 100 in the world, Sunningdale is one of the most attractive 36-hole complexes in existence. Its Heathland style characterized by heather, retamos, and rough of different shades is complemented by trees with dense foliage, giving rise to holes of varying length, up and down, dog legs in both directions, some blind shots, and driveable par 4s.

Signature Hole

Hole 10 is an attractive par 4 of 488 yards, with an elevated tee box and a fairway with strategically positioned bunkers, which descends towards a small green.

Wegolf Insider Tip

If you have time, you can also play the New Course, taking the opportunity in between to have lunch in the main bar, with a view of the putting green and the famous oak tree that characterizes the club.

The good, The Bad

One of the most aesthetically pleasing courses in England.
A course far from the coast, of a very different style to what is usual in the United Kingdom.
