Description

Listed as the best course in Wales, it remains relatively unknown to ordinary golfers. Its layout was modified, with the last architects being the renowned Harry S.Colt and Tom Simpson. Both the first 4 and last 6 holes are genuine links and a true test of golf, while the remaining holes ascend to higher ground with fantastic views towards the Bristol Channel.

Signature Hole

The finale in Porthcawl is dramatic and scenic. The 18th hole is a 459-yard par 4 that slopes down from the tee toward the green, and plays towards the ocean.

Wegolf Insider Tip

Porthcawl is a sensory experience, which visually attracts with its views, the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks, and the particular aroma of the sea mixed with that of the grass.
