Description
Although the club dates back to 1894, the Strand course is the hybrid result of a mix of new holes with older ones. Redesigned by Des Giffin, it opened to the public in 1992 with the new layout, incorporating the dunes and impressive views towards the sea. Challenging but permeable to all levels of players, it is a must on every golf trip to this region of the British Isles.
Signature Hole
Called one of the best and most intimidating starting holes, this 427-yard par 4 with two legs to the right runs towards the sea and feels like a tube.
Wegolf Insider Tip
It is advisable to travel the 2km of Strand beach, with the green dunes of the golf course behind you.
