Description

This private South Carolina club is located 30 minutes away from Augusta National and claims to be the second oldest club in the entire United States. Its layout was built progressively, and has had interventions from Donald Ross, Alister MacKenzie (being the most influential), Tom Doak, and Gil Hanse. With undulating terrain and certain details that refer to Augusta, this course is an entertaining challenge for every golfer.

Signature Hole

The flagship hole is the par 3 7th, 180 yards long. Considered one of the 100 most difficult holes in the USA, it is framed by trees and to the right of its green there is a large slope that repels balls.

The good, The Bad

A great opportunity to play a course designed by the same architect as Augusta National, just a few miles away.
It is only open to non-members during Masters week.
