Description
Olympia Fields was one of the largest private clubs in the United States, until the Great Depression forced them to sell half their land. It currently has a South and North course, the latter being designed by Willie Park Jr. A tough test for any golfer, with a very good variety of parkland-style holes, it is considered a jewel of golf course architecture.
Signature Hole
The 14th hole is the handicap 2 of the course: a 450-yard par 4, narrow fairway, and a meandering stream running through it, leading up to an elevated green.
Wegolf Insider Tip
As the venue for the BMW Championship, it features thick rough, so it's best to stick to the center of the fairway and count for accuracy rather than distance.

An amazing club just minutes away from a big city like Chicago.
Another private and difficult to access club in the United States.
