Description
Founded in 1895, the club features two 18-hole courses designed by legendary Golden Age architect Donald Ross. Its most recognized course, host of multiple Majors, is the East. With very narrow fairways, considerable rough, and height variation along its entire length, it has assorted holes. Greens with unconventional shapes, deep bunkers, and century-old oak trees that give name to the club. The course is considered a masterpiece of North American golf course architecture, and one of the most difficult courses within the PGA Tour.
Signature Hole
The par 5 of the 13th hole is asoutstanding as an emblematic hole. 593 yards uphill to a bowl-shaped green. On the left of the fairway, the hill of fame with the American flag and trees that honor the best golfers of all time.
