Description
In the Open he would win in 1966 in Muirfield (Scotland), Jack Nicklaus would end up falling in love with the site. Indeed so much, that he would entrust himself to the dream of designing a golf course in his hometown that could transmit the same feeling, and that would end up adopting the same name. Conceived as a course for players of all levels, capable of hosting a major tournament, it has been the venue for the Memorial Tournament on the PGA Tour schedule for several years.
Signature Hole
The 11th hole is a 567-yard par 5 with a meandering fairway, crossed twice by a creek. It allows for risk taking, but at the same time can severely punish poorly executed shots.
Wegolf Insider Tip
If you are lucky enough to be able to play it, ask for the history of modifications Jack has made time after time over the years, and compare the current version with the original.
