Description

Kilmarnock Golf Course arose due to the distance between Troon and other courses, taking advantage of available land that was not fertile for agriculture. Sometimes used as a qualifying course for the Open, the course has everything a links can offer: hollows, elevations, blind shots, and very fast greens.

Signature Hole

Although the entire course is very good, the 12th hole is often popular among members and visitors. The 145-yard par 3 features an undulating green surrounded by pot bunkers and views of the Isle of Arran.

Wegolf Insider Tip

The 'rail way drive' is a great option for any golfer, including courses like Dundonald, Western Gailes, Troon, Turnberry, and Prestwick.

The good, The Bad

Many good courses without having to move too much.
Little not to stand out about this course.
