Description

Although it has been played there since the 15th century, it wasn't until 1895 that Old Tom Morris designed the 18 holes, which local James Braid would later refine. It's entertaining, easy to play, and a pleasant introduction to traditional links golf.

Signature Hole

Hole 13 is known as "Croupie" and is part of the stretch of the course that runs along the sea. This 380-yard par 4 features an elevated green that requires a precise approach due to the cliff behind it.

Wegolf Insider Tip

As you approach the 1st tee, reach to the starter's hut and ask to see the special attraction that will surprise you: a periscope from a British submarine repurposed for golfing purposes.

The good, The Bad

Links golf in its purest form.
Not as spectacular as other courses, but with all the ingredients necessary to enjoy a nice round.
