Description

It is difficult to describe Royal Dornoch, because we believe that words are not enough to express and show how extraordinary is this golf course, on a specially "created" terrain for links and design by Tom Morris. The course besides showy, it is difficult and very competitive. If it's windy, to get down the 80 is quite a feat even for the best amateur scratch. Every shot is at risk and often at both sides of the fairway, the greens have a lot movement and the bunkers are as they should be, penalizing and wasting always a shot.

Signature Hole

 Hole 2 / Par 3 / 191yds:

This par 3 is often considered his best hole . It has an elevated green with 2 bunkers that protect both sides. And if you miss , the ball will go directly to the gorse. And if there is a headwind, it's not bad advice to play it as a short par 4.

Wegolf Insider Tip

Gene Sarazen said he wished every golfer to play at least once the Old Course at St Andrews. We would like to add the Royal Dornoch to Gene's prase. We believe that these two courses are like  a golfer Golfer's graduation.

The good, The Bad

From the beginning of your journey in Inverness going by car to the course is a perfect golf day.
It may be difficult for the average player, but you have to forget about it and enjoy a golf jewel.
