Description

Cypress Point is a world known golf course, it has a lot of history and it's really private and exclusive, a place to which access is an enormous privilege, which Wegolf did in 2011 & 2016. As in all Mackenzie's fields, the secret is to put the ball off the tee (without requiring long stick) and be a very good player in the green. The design, landscape, wildlife (seabirds, deer, squirrels and others) make the place difficult to repeat.

Signature Hole

 Hole 16 / Par 3 / 243 yards:

A par 3 of 243 yds in which you have to fly 225 yards . The original idea was to do a par 4 (in fact for women it is), but it was very short. Locals call it "The mother of all golf holes." Standing on the tee generates the same adrenaline as the  1st Old Course at St Andrew's. But the best designed hole in our opinion is the par-5 of the 5th , shooting the green is very hard and has a lot of movement.

Wegolf Insider Tip

The course is clearly divided into 3 parts: 1-6 is forest, 6-12 is dunes and 13-18 is ocean. Every shot is special, the design will last forever. You can make a good score, but each missed shot will be a real lost. The final 5 holes are unique, especially the 2 pars 3 consecutive. if you get the invitation, we can only recommend you to enjoy from the beginning and not to worry about the score.

The good, The Bad

Everything, absolutely. A jewel. A great piece of history. Much to do with the birth of Augusta National. Great, varied and challenging design. And an unforgettable ending.
It's really hard to have acces to it, you have to be a member or at least know one.
