Description

Brora preserves the essence of golf as it was originally played. Redesigned by James Braid in 1923, it combines natural dunes and open views with a layout that runs parallel to the coast. Adding to its charm are the sheep and cows grazing freely in a unique and captivating setting.

Signature Hole

Known as the “sea hole,” the par-3 9th is just over 150 yards long, plays right next to the beach, and is a great challenge thanks to the sea breeze and its bunkers.

Wegolf Insider Tip

Once you've finished your tour, walk to the beach, where you can contemplate the North Sea with a tranquility that's hard to find anywhere else.

The good, The Bad

The pristine coastal landscapes and cattle grazing on its fairways make it a hidden gem.
Its somewhat remote location removes it somewhat from general golfing consideration.
