Presidents Cup 2022 (Sep 22)
The Presidents Cup began in 1994 with the idea of being a counter-event of the Ryder Cup that contains the best in the world born outside of the USA or Europe. Australia, Canada, South Africa, Japan, and Korea have historically been the ones who contributed their figures the most to a competition where the hegemony of the United States is absolute, with 11 wins in 13 editions.
But in 2022 there are several elements that make it attractive.
The USA will be local in Quail Hollow GC (Charlotte, North Carolina), a course that players know for playing it on the Tour once a year, famous for its terrible outcome “The Green Mile” for the combined length of its 16, 17 and 18 holes.
Moreover, for the first time in history there are serious chances that up to half of the international team could be made up of Latin-American players: Joaco Niemann and Mito Pereyra from Chile, Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz from Mexico, Juan Sebastián Muñoz from Colombia and Emiliano Grillo from Argentina.
We designed this unique experience to witness the 4 days of the Presidents Cup (double sessions) and combine it with the best golf in the area: Pinehurst, Kiawah Island, Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head.
These are some of the great destinations you can visit, driving less than 3 hours from Charlotte.
Almost like the Old Course at St Andrews to Scotland´s golf legacy, many consider Pinehurst the birthplace of American golf. North Scottish highlanders discovered this delightful area in Moore County (in North Carolina) characterized for its rolling lands and sandy soil, to fund Pinehurst and transform this small site in the epicenter of golf in the United States.

It has 90 courses in 90 miles that go from South to North Carolina. It is a destination “for everyone”, accessible and with super convenient prices, with multiple accommodation options, beaches, entertainment resorts, restaurants, bars, ideal for trips with friends and with almost one golf course per block.
The Sea Pines Resort

The most famous is Harbour Town GL where the RBC Heritage from the PGA Tour is played the week after The Masters.
Other things to do
It is one of the cities that has grown the most in the United States in the last two decades, since it is an important financial and energy center. In addition, the city has two important teams: NBA (Hornets) and NFL (Panthers).
Time to book
As soon as possible because there is not much availability of accommodation in Charlotte for the week of the Presidents Cup.
How to get there
There are no direct flights to Charlotte, the best option is to fly to Atlanta. And from there there are two options: either an internal flight to Charlotte or rent a car and drive to Charlotte, which is a 3:30 hour drive.
